ABOUT THE PROJECT

  • Up to 156 megawatts (MW), which will generate enough clean energy to power approximately 27,000 homes annually

  • Setbacks and tree planting will limit project visibility to neighbors

  • Landowners retain ownership of land during and after lease; the land will be made ready to resume farming after the lease expires

  • Over $200 million estimated total Project investment with more than $7 million in tax revenue reinvested into the local and state communities

  • Helps meet the growing demand for clean renewable energy sources in Muscatine County

  • Utilizes Iowa's natural resources to decrease dependence on imported fuels

  • Life cycle: 40 years from date of commercial operation

  • Estimated project size of 850-900 fenced acres, all through privately-owned land leased to the project
